AI implementation for specific tasks, with a person in charge of the result.

I add AI to workflows where it genuinely helps, such as reading documents, sorting messages and drafting replies. It sits inside a controlled process, and I will tell you when simpler automation is the more reliable choice.

From £1,500

Typical automation starting point. AI provider usage is paid directly by you.

Unsure whether AI is relevant? Business Automation Review, £395

A typical use: a messy message becomes a tidy record

The AI reads and drafts. Rules check the result, and a person approves it before anything is sent or saved.

Message received

Hi, we run a small joinery firm and our enquiries are scattered across email, the website and the phone. Could someone call me before Friday about getting them into one place? Thanks, Sam

Draft reply ready. Awaiting approval.

Illustrative example with an invented message. The person approves or edits the draft before anything is sent.
The same approach covers document processing, classification and routing, enquiry triage, and drafting replies from your own information. Connecting it to the systems you already use is covered under workflow automation and software integrations.

Choosing the right tool for each step

AI is one option among several, and often not the best one. Most good solutions mix all three.

Plain rules

Predictable work with a known answer.

  • Matching an invoice number to an order
  • Calculating a quote from a price list
  • Copying a form field into the CRM
  • Sending a reminder after an agreed delay

AI drafts, a person approves

Reading and writing, where a quick check is enough.

  • Summarising a long enquiry
  • Suggesting a category or urgency
  • Drafting a reply from your own information
  • Pulling fields out of a supplier PDF

A person decides

Judgement, or mistakes that are costly.

  • Refunds, contract terms and pricing exceptions
  • Complaints and sensitive messages
  • Anything hard to check after the fact

Accuracy

AI makes mistakes and can sound sure when it does. I do not promise guaranteed accuracy or complete autonomy. Outputs are checked against rules where possible, doubtful cases go to a person, and each step is tested on your own real examples before it goes live.

Privacy

Using AI usually means sending text to an outside provider. We decide what is sent, remove or mask what we can, and read the provider's data terms. I cannot give legal advice or guarantee compliance, so if UK GDPR or sector rules apply, take advice on your own situation too.

I have not published an AI case study yet. My work to date is in software and web development, and any AI step is tested on your examples before it goes live. See delivered work.

From £1,500

AI implementation is priced like other automation work, which typically starts from £1,500 for a properly scoped project. The final price depends on the task, the volume and how much testing it needs.

  1. Pick the task

Where AI would help and where it would not.

  2. Written scope and price

    Including estimated AI usage costs.

  3. Test on your examples

See how it behaves before relying on it.

  4. Hand over

With the checks, alerts and documentation in place.
